My Sheri Crafts 120

Time for another new challenge over at My Sheri Crafts!  Design Team sister, Sue, had asked us to create any project with a sewing theme.  At first, I was actually going to "sew" something like a small gift bag or even a Cricut cover.  Instead, I decided to make a card because I fell in love with the picture I found of a young girl sewing her clothes

The quote "I'm not buying that, I can make that!" is something (I believe) all crafters have said at least once in their life time.  I know I say it quite often and so does my mother... the one who taught me how to sew in the first place... and I just know you have too!

The stitching around the card is hand stitched using DMC cross-stitch floss.  The white flower is made from the same lace trimming around the card... yes, I sewed that by hand too!  LOL!

Thanks for looking!

Now... it's your turn to create something spectacular and join us over at  My Sheri Crafts

Card size: 4.25" x 5.5"

Supplies used:

Papers from K&Company
Image from William-Adolphe Bouguereau
Lace given to me by Design Team sister, Charlotte
Fiskars flower punch (for the pink roses... 3 layers each)
Spellbinders for the flourish
Quotes are computer generated
Lots of inking around the edges

  1. Raquel,
Just love your card. Loads of stitching bits and bobs on there. Yes I too have said "I can make that" at some time lol. Great use of the lace around the card and the flower.
