My Sheri Crafts #124

It's almost that time of the year... my favorite holiday!  Christmas is just right around the corner and had managed to sneak up on us again.  We are doing a "Funky Christmas" theme for My Sheri Crafts this week.  Make any Christmas project using non-traditional Christmas colors

I'm sure you've seen these cute little Christmas trees made from papers before.  I've always wanted to make one of them before so I used this week's theme to do so.  I used coordinating double-sided papers from K&Company and Martha Stewart's scoring board to create the tree.

I made quite a few of those pinwheel flowers you see on the card and stacked them up until I had a good height I was satisfied with.  I used intervals of 0.5" scored on different widths of paper strips starting with 0.75" to 2.00" in height so that the base is around 4.00"

The tree stands at around 7.25" in height with the flower / star on top of it

My Sheri Crafts #123

Design Team sister, Sandy, has asked us to make any project that is Fall / Thanksgiving related for this week's theme for My Sheri Crafts.  I decided to make a Thanksgiving layout to use for this year.  My family and I are going on a Thanksgiving cruise... we have always wanted to experience a major holiday on a cruise.  I will add a 5" x 7" picture once we get back and write in the journal

The papers are from Close to My Heart.  I made the "thankful" using SCAL.  The large branch is from Cricut cartridge: Home Decor and the leaves are from Cricut cartridge: Basic Shapes.  I used a white gel pen for the tiny dots on "thankful"

Baby Shower Cards

I needed to make two baby shower cards for my two cousins.  A joint baby shower for them... one is having a girl and one is having a boy.

I found a sketch I wanted to use at the Cricut Card Forums hosted by Gisele and her extra credit for the challenge was to use one sketch for two different cards... this is what I came up with

I used the baby carriage cut from Cricut cartridge: New Arrival.  Cuttlebug embossing folders for the circles.  Stickles for the gold/yellow trims.  I decided to use the old style label makers for the sentiments
