BBTB2 - Halloween

3-D Halloween Treat Container

Well my Cricut Expression sort of died on me but I really wanted to participate in this week's  BBTB2 challenge.  The theme this week is to make a Halloween treat container and I really love Halloween.  Fortunately, I had an extra pre-cut bag from the Halloween treat bags I made for the previous My Sheri Crafts Halloween challenge.  I had originally cut 4 but only decorated 3!  Yay!  It was meant to be...

 Supplies used:
Ribbons -  Halloween edition by Scrapbooking Supplies
Sentiment is a stamp and heat embossed
ek success - web border punch
Cricut cartridge: Tags, Bags, Boxes, and More - bag

My Sheri Crafts #97

Fall Color Card with 3 Embellishments

You read that correctly!  The theme for the new challenge over at My Sheri Crafts is to make a card using Fall Colors and 3 Embellishments

I made this card specifically for my mother-in-law to send to her during Thanksgiving since she lives out of town and can't join us this year

Now... it's your turn to create something spectacular and join us over at  My Sheri Crafts

Card size 4.25" x 5.5" and the sentiment is a stamp which I used heat embossing on

Supplies used:
Cheery Lynn - flourish die cut
Close to My Heart - papers, pearls, and metal corner accent
Spellbinder - labels seventeen and foliage
Cricut cartridge: Accent Essentials - coral flowers

JustRite Friday Challenge #84

The requirement for this week's challenge over at JustRite Friday Challenge is to use at least three flower embellishment on your project.  Flowers... on a project?  Easy!

I decided to use one of the stamps from "A Little Caffeine Set" by JustRite and then heat embossed it.  Inside the card, I had used the cut "miss talking to you" from the Cricut Wild Card cartridge.  The flowers are silk and each a stack of four layers

Supplies used:
Card size - 4.25" x 5.5"
Papers - DCWV
JustRite - stamp
Perfect Pearls - used on the flourish and cut inside the card
Spellbinder - flourish
Cricut cartridge: Wild Card - "miss talking to you"

BBTB2 - Happy Fall / Pumpkin

This is my the second time participating in BBTB2 (Bitten by the Bug 2) challenge.  I had such an overwhelming welcome from the DT group that I had decided that those are great people to hang out with and support... plus I love looking at all their creations!

This week, the theme is to have a pumpkin on your project... but it must NOT be a Halloween pumpkin.  I decided to make a Thanksgiving shaped card... since I really love shaped cards and was inspired by one of the BBTB2 Designer, Donna Mundinger who's sample card was just super awesome.  Of course, mine doesn't even come close to hers... hah hah!  Maybe in the future, I'll learn to add more texture, dimension, depth, and definitely more details to my stuff

I used a lot of bright papers to make this so I decided to ink all the cuts to tone down the vibrant colors.  Then I covered the pumpkin and flourish with Perfect Pearls to give it a bit of a shine.  I decided to use glitter on the "Give Thanks" but I guess I used the wrong adhesive because the glitter was rubbing off of it.  Without removing all the glitter off... I sprayed the "Give Thanks" with adhesive spray and covered it with embossing powder then heat embossed it... the result is a bit odd but I like it.  It has a crackle type finish with a bit of glittery shine coming through... don't you just love experimenting?

Supplies used:
Close to My Heart - inks
Glitter
Perfect Pearls
SCAL - to create the welded shadow base
Cricut cartridge: Accent Essentials - flower
Cricut cartridge: MS Seasonal - "Give Thanks"
Cricut cartridge: Thanksgiving - pumpkin

My Sheri Crafts #96

Yes, it's that time again... for a new challenge!   My Sheri Crafts theme, this time around, is to make any project related to Halloween.  I so love love Halloween... it's so fun!

My kids love Halloween as well, so I made treat bags!  I made three... as usual... one for each of my kiddies!  I'm going to make some more though for other kids as well

The treat bags dimensions are: 3.75" in width, 4" in height, and 1.75" in depth.  I used a plain cardboard cardstock for the base to make the bags stronger

Ribbons -  Halloween edition by Scrapbooking Supplies
Cardboard Cardstock
Glitter
SCAL - to create the shadow for "Boo"
Skittles - dyed with Alcohol Inks

Cricut cartridge: Bags, Tags, Boxes, and More - bags

Cricut cartridge: Indie Art - "Wicked"
Cricut cartridge: Paper Doll Dress Up - bat, cat, and ghost
Cricut cartridge: Wild Card - "Boo" and spider web

JustRite Friday Challenge #83

Here is my entry to JustRite Friday Challenge.  The theme this time is to use three different coordinating patterned paper.  The papers I chose is from the "Wings" paper pack from Close to My Heart... because they already do all the coordinating for you and this appeals to my laziness quite well

The stamp is from the Custom Cardmaking Kit by JustRite and then heat embossed.  The flowers are layers of 5 flower punch, covered with Perfect Pearls pigment, and made into roses.  The flourish and the butterfly are also covered with Perfect Pearls pigment.  Stitching is made with DMC floss

Supplies used:
Card size - 5" x 5"
Papers - Close to My Heart
ek success - leaves
Cheery Lynn - butterfly
Fiskars - flower punch used to make the roses
Spellbinder - Fleur de lis square
Cricut cartridge: Home Decor - flourish

Mojo Monday 261

I decided to make a scrapbook layout for this week's Mojo Monday instead of a card.  I'm so far behind in scrapbooking and I already made the award ribbon to go with this layout from My Sheri Crafts #91 anyway

Fiskars - border punch

BBTB2 - Tree

This is the first time I'm joining a BBTB2 (Bitten by the Bug 2) challenge.  One of my Design Team sisters from My Sheri Crafts is also a BBTB2 Design Team member.  To support my DT sister... why not enter, right?

The only requirement this week from BBTB2 challenge was to include a tree from any Cricut cartridge.  I decided to use the swirl Christmas tree from Christmas cartridge.  I originally covered it with white Perfect Pearls but decided to cover it with Stickles instead

Supplies used:

Papers - DCWV
Fiskars - corner punch and flower punch to form the 3 mini roses
Perfect Pearls
Spellbinder - frame and flourish
Stickles
Cricut cartridge: Christmas - tree
