Mickey Ears
As promised... I am sharing my first two Mickey ears that I had made!
This past February, I participated in runDisney's Princess half marathon weekend and so, of course, I had to make a Princess themed ears to walk around Disney World and the running expo. I just used glitter foam to make the crown and hot glued it on the band. I covered the base of the crown with some poof to hide the glue. Not too shabby for the first Mickey ears I have ever made, I think
Here is the back side of the crown. I took a sparkly unicorn button to cover up the staples that connected the seam of the foam crown. The tulle inside the crown is just to cover up the hollowness
My second Mickey ears... Star Wars Dark Side theme
This was made for the Dark Side Half Marathon weekend. I used iron-on vinyl for the Imperial logo as well as Darth Vader. Both images I picked up online somewhere then I cut it using my Cricut. The Tie Fighter is a metal die cast I bought from GameStop. It's a bit on the heavy side. I used tulle for clouds... real purpose... to cover the hot glue
These are so fun to make! I will be making more since I'm already signed up for three more runDisney races. I can't wait to share those with you as well
The directions on how I made the base of the head band and ears are on this post: Nothing Flat!
Thanks for looking!
