This is my the second time participating in
BBTB2 (Bitten by the Bug 2) challenge. I had such an overwhelming welcome from the DT group that I had decided that those are great people to hang out with and support... plus I love looking at all their creations!
This week, the theme is to have a pumpkin on your project... but it must NOT be a Halloween pumpkin. I decided to make a Thanksgiving shaped card... since I really love shaped cards and was inspired by one of the BBTB2 Designer,
Donna Mundinger who's sample card was just super awesome. Of course, mine doesn't even come close to hers... hah hah! Maybe in the future, I'll learn to add more texture, dimension, depth, and definitely more details to my stuff
I used a lot of bright papers to make this so I decided to ink all the cuts to tone down the vibrant colors. Then I covered the pumpkin and flourish with Perfect Pearls to give it a bit of a shine. I decided to use glitter on the "Give Thanks" but I guess I used the wrong adhesive because the glitter was rubbing off of it. Without removing all the glitter off... I sprayed the "Give Thanks" with adhesive spray and covered it with embossing powder then heat embossed it... the result is a bit odd but I like it. It has a crackle type finish with a bit of glittery shine coming through... don't you just love experimenting?
